Fusion Director

A highly committed leader and qualified chartered accountant with 25 years’ experience in the FE sector. Julian’s wide range of experience encompasses corporate services including Finance, IT, MIS, Estates and HR.
Julian’s real strengths are in helping strategic resource planning and using finance and data to effectively plan and optimise opportunities for our clients. He enjoys the challenge of leading teams and supporting FE institutions in full process reviews and curriculum efficiency and resourcing models.

Director of Surveying, Facilities and Compliance

Mark has over thirty years’ experience in Facilities & Project Management. He has worked as Client, Contractor & Consultant in the Private sector, Central & Local Government.

Mark’s experience in Construction; Management, Contracts, Finance, Life-cycle and Refurbishment, make him uniquely qualified to develop the disparate offerings of Surveying, Facilities & Compliance into a coherent Asset Management Strategy.

Over the last two years, Mark has Professionally developed these business streams with an emphasis on Compliance and Fire Safety.

Fusion Director

Matthew is a chartered planning and development survey with over 20 years’ experience advising the education sector on a wide range of property-related matters. Matthew joined in 2012, prior to which he held a number of senior positions both in consultancy and within FE Funding Agencies, the FEFC and LSC. Matthew has advised over 100 further education colleges on the development and implementation of their Property Strategies. As strategic lead on many projects, Matthew’s experience covers stakeholder management, option evaluation, bid writing, land disposal, procurement and merger advice.

Director of Architecture

Nick has 21 years’ Architecture experience, in both the public and private sectors. The last 10 years of which, have been focused on the design and delivery of public and private sector construction projects. Prior to the formation of 3BM, Nick was in private practice undertaking key roles from mixed use regeneration projects, private residential and implementing both the LSC, BSF and DFE funded education projects within London and the South East.

As the Director of Architecture within 3BM, Nick has taken a key strategic role on Local Authority Advisory Boards in London, as well as overseeing the delivery of key projects, ranging from refurbishment and new build projects to strategic land and regeneration strategies. Nick has a passion for driving Architecture’s progression within the public sector, by utilising the teams excellent communication and engagement skills, and establishing sustainable and economical solutions to public and private sector projects.

This approach to financially sustainable quality design and delivery is embedded within the delivery of the business and is reinforced by returning customers who have experienced this success.

Fusion Director

Nolan has worked within UK property since 1996.  Nolan is trained in Estate Management and general practice surveying and has extensive experience in the project management of design and construction works of £50,000 to £100 million in value. Nolan has specialised in the delivery of projects in the public and private sector for over 20 years.

His key areas of expertise include the delivery of complex public sector projects from inception to completion, a specialisation in the productions of property strategies and capital applications, handling significant town planning issues and complex disposals and acquisitions. Key clients int eh recent past have included Cambridge Regional College, CUH Addenbrookes NHS Foundation Trust, College of West Anglia, Richmond upon Thames College, Big Creative Training Ltd and East Coast College.

Director of Executive Services

Samantha has worked in the public and private sectors for the last 30 years. Her area of responsibility is HR, Customer Service and Quality Assurance. She leads on communications, marketing and our customer facing areas of the business.

She is our lead for Corporate Social Responsibility and is the Head of our Apprenticeship and Work Placement Programme.

Fusion Director

Stuart has a BSc in Construction Business Management and is a member of the Association of Project Management.  Stuart has specialised in the delivery of all aspects of capital strategy and implementation to the education sector over 20 years on projects ranging up to £85M in value. Stuart’s role is focused on risk management – directing and delivering all aspects of the client’s requirements and client support, working closely with all members of the project team and stakeholders.

Stuarts expertise comprises of a comprehensive knowledge of estates renewals schemes from inception to completion, strategic direction of projects and managing other professional consultants while focusing on the client’s requirements to ensure that the brief is articulated and delivered by taking ownership and responsibility for driving projects forward.

Interim Director of Estates at the University for the Creative Arts for 7 years and is also Head of Capital Projects at UCA.

Scott is a high performing senior project manager with 25 years’ experience in delivering major capital investment programmes, fast track projects, change management programmes, complex accommodation strategies and business reorganisation projects to tight timescales across a variety of sectors. These including education, leisure, central and local government, commercial and public transportation.

A highly motivated, conscientious, innovative individual with good management and leadership skills, Scott combines his technical background with a good commercial understanding. This ensures that complex projects with multiple stakeholders are delivered to meet the business needs of his clients in both operationally and politically sensitive environments.

Having worked for both public and private sector clients, Scott is well versed in managing across the full lifecycle of a project and is an excellent communicator at all levels.  Scott possesses exceptional interpersonal skills and has the ability to deal with challenging situations in constantly changing environments. Scott has a proven record of achievement in leading and managing the successful delivery of complex projects to tight timescales, within budget and to a high quality.
