3BM were originally engaged by The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea to undertake a Fire Safety review of the property after the tragic events at Grenfell Tower.
After a survey of the building reviewing the fabric, services and occupational operation, a report was prepared which detailed the current issues/risks within the property and a prioritised structure for dealing with them.
3BM were asked to assess the progress of resolving the identified risks and that the risks had been fully remediated.
The final outstanding issue related to the appropriateness of the external cladding and its’ safety.
3BM were then employed directly by the Building’s Management Company to assist with this item. Our services included removing several panels to allow inspection of the installation of the support system, the nature and quality of the insulation and fire breaks and the actual composition of the Cladding Panels.
Finally, 3BM were employed to undertake an EWS1 survey and provide a completed EWS1 form confirming the building achieved A1 status.
Testimonial: From the time of the first inspection of the building in December 2017, 3BM took us through every step necessary to ensure that 355KR were conforming to all building safety standards, and we feel that they acted to protect our best interests, and those of the occupants, at all times. 355 Management Company 07/02/21.
