Matthew has worked in the UK property industry for 21 years with a focus on advising the Further Education sector. Having originally read town and country planning for his Bachelor’s Degree at Coventry University, Matthew went onto to study for a Masters in Property Development and Planning at South Bank University.

In 2002 Matthew became a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (Planning and Development Division). Matthew has considerable experience in helping FE colleges and other public sector organisations formulate and implement their capital investment programmes. In the last 20 years Matthew, has advised over 80 FE colleges on their estates strategies, space efficiency reviews, feasibility studies, capital funding applications as well as programme management advice with a focus on capital projects which are reliant on land assembly and land disposals through promotion through the planning process.

Matthew joined Fusion Project Management in 2012. In the last 6 years, Matthew has continued to lead on a wide variety of strategic commissions at a time when the responsibility for providing capital funding to the FE sector transferred over to the Local Enterprise Partnerships. Matthew has helped to formulate and influence many LEP’s capital funding policies which has led to many successful Local Growth Funding allocations.
